Cabinet Decides To Dismiss Emergency Service Head Bochkovskyi, His Deputy Stoyetskyi
The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to dismiss head of the State Emergency Situations Service Serhii Bochkovskyi and his deputy Vasyl Stoyetskyi and whole leadership of regional territorial departments of the Service, Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk said at the Wednesday meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, сообщает издание «ukranews.com».
Interior Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov asked the Cabinet of Ministers to dismiss Bochkovskyi and his deputy Stoyetskyi as well as heads of the Emergency Service in regions suspected of corruption schemes.
"The Government supports the decision to suspend the head and the first deputy, and the whole leadership of the whole vertical of the State Emergency Service," Yatseniuk said.
The Prime Minister urged the Minister of Interior Affairs to hold an inquiry into operations of all the regional leadership of the Service, involved in corrupt schemes of public funds embezzlement.
Avakov also offered to urgently appoint acting leadership of the State Emergency Situations Service.
By Government executive orders Nos. 241, 242 dated March 25 Bochkovskyi and Stoyetskyi were dismissed from their posts for violation of the oath of a civil servant.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the police detained head of the State Emergency Situations Service Serhii Bochkovskyi and his deputy Vasyl Stoyetskyi at the Cabinet of Ministers' meeting on Wednesday.
Police suspects them of corruption during the procurement of fuel and lubricants for the Authority.
The leadership of the State Emergency Situations Service is suspected of creating a corruption scheme for personal beneficiating during state procurements of fuel and lubricants from Lukoil and Alliance companies.
